Chapter 251 Please don't die!

Chapter 251 Please don't die!

Seeing that the atmosphere in the room had improved a bit, the women stopped crying so much.

Gavin pursed his lips, then clapped his hands lightly and spoke to the men.

"Margaret, and everyone else, relax a little. Everything at Camp Morris has been taken care of."

"And the two remaining survivors of the Morris camp are here. If any of you can identify them as having done something damned, you can say so now."

As soon as he finished speaking, Gavin glanced sideways at the two people who were "unconscious" on the ground.

Upon hearing Gavin's words, the two men who were pretending to be unconscious trembled, their already battered bodies shaking.

No way, really?

Even after being beaten like this, do you still want to die?

Then wouldn't I have been beaten for nothing?

Fortunately, after Gavin finished speaking, the survivors of Margaret's camp looked at each other, and surprisingly, no one recognized who the two people were. Among the crowd, the old man with the large, bulbous nose pondered for a moment before speaking to Gavin.

"Gavin, those two guys seem to have no presence in the Morris camp. I don't remember them doing anything, and I have no recollection of them at all."

"Let me think. If only the two of them survived, it means that every bastard who got a woman is dead, and the guy who whipped me should be dead too."

"That's enough, God! The world is already like this, the future is already difficult enough, why do these bastards still have to do this?"

"Voodoo cult... Fuck, that damned cult should just be wiped off the face of the earth!"

"Last night was a nightmare. I think it was even worse than the day four years ago when my lover died and I was kicked out of my home and became homeless!"

At this point, the old man with the bulbous nose shook his head helplessly.

Gavin nodded knowingly, then went to the two bastards who were pretending to be unconscious.

"Hello!"

After kicking the two guys, Gavin muttered a curse under his breath.

"Get the hell up, both of you! Stop pretending to be sleeping beauties! Do you want me to find some zombies to kiss you both awake?!"

"No, no, no!"

In an instant, the two men woke up, covering their mouths, noses, and stomachs as they stood up.

The two guys were badly beaten by Martin's angry punches, and Martin was still watching them even as they woke up.

Meeting Martin's gaze, the two men trembled and hid behind Gavin, the man with shorter hair unable to help but whisper something.

"Even in Maurice's camp, we were the kind of people who got bullied. We even had to lick Maurice's boots to survive!"

Seeing that the two were about to start arguing, Gavin chuckled and kicked them, muttering a curse under his breath.

"Shut your mouths. I'm not in the mood to hear your stories about living in a cult. But I think unless you two enjoy being taken advantage of, no one will ever do it for you again, you idiots!"

"Furthermore, given the uncertainty surrounding your situation at Camp Morris, you will need to put in considerable effort over the next period to clear your names of your past and prove to me that you are trustworthy!"

Before the two could respond, Gavin waved to Martin.

"Martin!"

"I'm here, go ahead and say it."

Martin nodded in response, while Gavin continued.

"Keep an eye on those two. When we get home, have those two bastards help Horst with the chores. There are more and more people in the house, and we're a bit short-handed for cleaning!"

"OK, boss, I'll keep an eye on them!"

Martin chuckled sinisterly, then stared intently at the two men.

Faced with Martin's gaze, the two men felt their wounds throb with pain, and they hurriedly nodded in response.

Meanwhile, towards the kitchen.

After hearing the crying stop in the hall, Nicholas shrugged, picked up a large pot of coffee, and walked towards the hall.

When Nicholas arrived with coffee, Gavin sighed and clapped his hands to the group of staff.

"Come on, let's have a cup of hot coffee to warm our stomachs first, then have some lunch and rest a bit."

"Eugene, go find some medicine and give the wounded a quick treatment, just like the emergency medical care you do on the battlefield." "Margaret, arrange for those of you in slightly better condition to help out in the kitchen. Trying to get Nicholas and Paul to cook for dozens of us would take who knows how long."

"Lucian, take your men and thoroughly search the entire resort. Gather all their weapons, medicines, food, and necessities in the yard—everything! Go!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Gavin waved to everyone.

Everyone immediately began to take action.

Margaret nodded immediately and then assigned the task to a large group of little girls in the hall.

Only Lucien.

Faced with Gavin's order, he hesitated for a moment, then finally made up his mind, raised his eyebrows, and said to Gavin.

"Boss Gavin, I'm not your subordinate. How are we going to divide the supplies we find later?"

"Wait, besides supplies, there are also manpower! What the hell!"

"I lost one of my men trying to rescue Margaret and the others. Even though it was only one, I need to get at least one or two men back to make up for my loss!"

At this point, Lucien resolutely looked at Gavin.

Gavin glanced sideways at Lucien, silently staring into his eyes.

Under Gavin's intense gaze, Lucien swallowed hard, and his courage began to crumble in an instant.

It's not that he's cowardly.

The combination of Gavin's image and his recent murderous aura had a tremendous psychological impact on him.

Before Gavin could speak, Lucien swallowed hard and nervously said to Gavin.

"Wait, Gavin, what I mean is... I know I didn't really contribute much; most of the work was done by your helicopters. Black Hawk helicopters are awesome!"

"But... God, I'm a boss, after all. If someone dies, that's... that's a significant loss, isn't it? You have to consider how we, the partners, feel, Boss Gavin!"

"Anyway, okay! I only need one more person to join, is that alright?"

"What I mean is, I'd rather you just hand over that old drunkard who's obviously suffering from alcoholism to me, that's all I mean, I'm really not being greedy!"

At this point, Lucien lowered his head unconsciously, feeling a little ashamed.

Where is your own courage?

Were they all eaten by the two crows on Gavin's shoulder?

How should your subordinates view you now?

They'll definitely laugh at me, won't they?

Thinking of this, Lucien almost lost the courage to look up.

His younger brother, Chandson, looked at his brother's back with some hesitation, unsure of what to say.

And Lucien's men.

Their eyes darted back and forth between Gavin and Lucien.

Lucien's expression of his unwillingness to follow Gavin at this moment caused Margaret and her group to freeze, nervously watching the situation in the hall.

As for Gavin...

Seeing his men, who had just started moving, frozen in place, Martin Eugene and the others glared at Lucien with displeasure, as if they wanted to shoot him. Gavin clapped his hands lightly.

"Get to work, everyone. Stop staring at me. Lucien and I can talk about our issues ourselves. You all go about your business!"

At this point, Gavin waved his hand impatiently and tugged at Lucien's sleeve.

Lucien.

He then spoke to Lucien.

"Come with me, let's talk alone."

"Uh, okay!"

Gavin's invitation made Lucien a little uneasy.

Recalling Gavin's incredible strength in killing Maurice with a single punch and crushing his upper body with five stomps, Lucien knew he was no match for Gavin. However, he didn't want to refuse Gavin, or rather... he didn't dare to refuse.

Then, Gavin strode out of the hall and headed towards the courtyard.

Lucien quickly followed Gavin's pace and strode off into the distance.

Seeing Lucien catch up with him, Gavin drew his two-handed sword and strode toward the few zombies still alive at the edge of the courtyard.

The zombies were tied up in various places in the yard, with some of their parts and skin missing. Gavin suspected that Morris was using the zombies to practice his human jigsaw puzzle skills.

So he raised his longsword and easily pierced the head of a zombie, then said to Lucien without turning his head.

"Don't just stand there like an idiot, come and get involved. Our men all have their jobs to do. As the bosses, do we have the right to just sit around and rest?"

As he spoke, Gavin drew his longsword and continued toward the next zombie.

Lucien nodded and grinned.

"Hehe, that's no problem. As long as you don't swallow us up, it's nothing for me to help you with some work."

After saying that, Lucien drew his one-handed axe from his waist and smashed the head of a zombie open.

While he was busy, Gavin spoke to him as he chopped off the head of a zombie.

"What do you mean by 'annexation'? That's a very harsh way of putting it, Lucien."

"Compared to the so-called ambitious act of annexation, I prefer to describe my actions as a helpless situation where we have no choice but to band together for mutual support. After all, the world is too dangerous right now; if we don't join hands, we will all fall into danger!"

"Aha!"

Hearing this, Lucien smiled and raised an eyebrow.

He wasn't stupid; he understood Gavin's attitude. Since Gavin was willing to talk to him, Gavin was still playing the politician's game, which wouldn't involve violence. So, he was basically safe; Gavin shouldn't lay a hand on him.

Now that his fear was gone, Lucien became interested and wanted to see how Gavin would try to persuade him.

For him, the feeling of being someone's lackey, whether it was being bossed around by Gavin or anyone else, was something he'd had enough of before the apocalypse!

Now, he just wants to live like the protagonist in movies and TV series!

Since the world has become a world like the walking dead.

He also wants to be Rick, the protagonist of The Walking Dead TV series!

Who wouldn't want to be the main character!

With this thought in mind, Lucien pursed his lips and whispered to Gavin.

"You think you can convince me? Don't even dream about it. If I were going to change, I wouldn't have taken my brother away from Margaret a long time ago!" "You know, compared to you, Margaret is already a pretty gentle boss, but I don't like being bossed around!" "Is that so?"

Upon hearing this, Gavin, while plunging his sword into the head of a zombie, turned around and asked with amusement.

"You don't like it? But when I gave you orders before, you agreed very readily, so I thought you liked it."

"You...uh...this..."

Lucien's pale Nordic face, previously hidden by his large beard, immediately flushed red.

He had to admit that he was genuinely frightened before, and he looked quite embarrassed.

"That's different!"

He emphasized one point, waving his hands as he continued speaking.

"That was a collaboration between our two camps just now. I admit you're the stronger one, which is why I listened to you. But things are different now. It's time to divide the spoils. You can't let me suffer the loss, buddy!"

"Suffered a loss? Suffer a loss my ass, Lucien! I helped you solve a huge problem, and you're saying you suffered a loss?"

Hearing Lucien's words, Gavin cursed in annoyance, then cut off the zombie's head and slammed it down on Lucien by the hair.

Lucien quickly kicked the head away, then stomped his foot to shake off the blood on his shoe and said.

"You saved Margaret, not me, buddy. I admit your plane did all the work, but I don't have any trouble that you need to solve for me, I..."

"You're fucking stupid, Lucien. Look around, look at the zombies tied up all around you, look at that Christmas tree made of corpses in the distance, and think about Nathan and the security guards who died at the Margaret Nickel Mine!"

Gavin interrupted Lucien, then strode up to him, pounded his fist on Lucien's chest, and continued his tirade. "Margaret's camp has fourteen men! Fourteen! They have two whole men on guard duty at night!"

"Even so, Morris's men easily sneaked in, took care of them all while they were fast asleep, killed the men, and stripped the women naked and took them away!"

"And you, you are only thirty kilometers from Margaret's camp and forty kilometers from Maurice's camp, yet you know nothing about Maurice and the Voodoo Cult!"

At this point, Gavin put his arm around Lucien's shoulder.

Although Lucien is tall and strong, standing at 186 cm, he is still very tall.

But he was still much shorter than Gavin, and Gavin easily tucked his head under his armpit.

"Hey, let me go!"

The feeling of being squeezed was driving Lucien crazy. How could Gavin be so strong? His resistance was completely ineffective! And Gavin just kept squeezing Lucien in and cursing.

"Don't be stupid, Lucien. If I hadn't been involved in today's operation, do you think it would have taken you a long time to find out about Maurice, and a long time before Maurice and his men wiped you out?"

"With your bunch of guys who just rush in like a swarm of bees?"

"Stop joking around. I bet Maurice actually discovered you a long time ago, but since you're all men, he chose to attack Camp Margaret, which they were more interested in!"

"Without me, you'd just be another ornament on a distant Christmas tree, or your head might be chopped off and hung on the side of the road!" "I saved your life, and you should learn to be grateful, grateful!"

"OK, God, I'm grateful, okay, let me go!!!"

Faced with Gavin's request, Lucien hurriedly shouted for help.

Inside the resort, the staff who heard Lucien's shouts all turned to look at Lucien and Gavin from different locations. Seeing Lucien being bullied, his men involuntarily shrank back.

Chandson rolled his eyes in exasperation and silently prayed that his brother would make the right decision.

And Gavin.

He ignored Lucien's shouts and continued to choke Lucien while speaking.

"Gratitude isn't something you say, you fool! I don't need your thanks!"

"I fucking saved your life, saved everyone's lives, and helped you solve this huge problem at the Morris camp, and you actually dare to ask me to share supplies!"

"Besides that, you actually treat people as a resource, trying to share them with me. I think you're treating people as tools. Do you want to be the next Maurice, killing whoever you want, playing with whoever you want? You bastard!"

"Tell me, how are you going to repay me? Say something!"

"OK, I'll repay you. I'm about to faint, let go... let go..."

Just as Lucien was frantically calling for help, Gavin suddenly released him.

Lucien quickly took deep breaths, bent over and put his hands on his knees, and said helplessly to Gavin.

"Repay... Ugh... Damn it, is there anything else you're missing? I'll bring some people to collect it for you, okay?!"

"By Odin, don't force me to make a decision against my will. If you just swallow me whole, aren't you afraid I'll sneak up in the middle of the night and kill you?!"

"Heh..."

Upon hearing this, Gavin chuckled and then patted Lucien on the shoulder.

"If you're capable, then come on! I've got all your men under my control. Even Jesus couldn't save you!" "Besides, guess how many of your men are truly loyal to me? You couldn't even handle Margaret's camp. Do you really think they'd feel safer with you than with me?"

"I don't want your men to have to choose between you and me, buddy, that would hurt you. That's why I called you in for a private talk, to give you a chance to save face!"

"So let's solve our problem in the simplest way possible."

"Just you and me, bare-handed, let's have a proper fight right here in this courtyard!"

"You've won. All the supplies at Maurice's camp are yours, but you're not taking any of Margaret's people with you!"

"And since you lost, you'd better take all your men and supplies, and come back to my camp with me, and learn to call me BOSS like everyone else!"

At this point, Gavin casually tossed aside his longsword, then cracked his knuckles and spoke to Lucien.

"Let me tell you, you have no choice. Come on, don't let yourself lose too badly!"

"Fuck!"

Faced with Gavin's aggressive tone, Lucien swallowed hard, then promptly threw away his one-handed axe.

"You're the most domineering bastard I've ever met!"

Cursing as he did so, Lucien assumed a defensive stance, nervously standing opposite Gavin.

He doesn't like to obey others.

But he liked the way Gavin decided who all belonged.

Only damn politicians like to lie to everyone with their mouths.

A real man solves problems with his fists!

And so, a moment later...

Lucien is in the bag!

then……

Boom!

Lucien has fallen.

Gavin punched Lucien hard in the chin, knocking him unconscious.

Seeing that Lucien was completely dizzy, Gavin chuckled and shook his right hand, then kicked Lucien in the waist.

"Are you satisfied now? Get up."

"Wait, Lucien, wake up, buddy! Wake up!"

"Hey, holy crap, wake the hell up! You're at least 230 pounds, how could you be so completely unconscious!"

"Hey, hey, hey, don't fucking scare me! Get up! Damn it, I'm begging you, please don't die!!!"
