Chapter 1738 An Extremely Overpowered Dynamax Move
Chapter 1738 An Extremely Overpowered Dynamax Move
After Dynamaxing, a Pokémon's size increases, its HP increases, and all its moves become Max Moves.
Dynamaxing only increases maximum HP and does not affect other base stats.
This phenomenon can occur in almost all Pokémon.
Only Zacian, Zamazenta, and Eternatus cannot Dynamax.
According to Dr. Mulan's research, when a Pokémon Dynamaxes, it doesn't actually grow larger, but the other party can still touch it.
When a Pokémon undergoes Dynamax, its size, weight, and height increase several times over.
Almost all Pokémon exhibited a dark red sheen and three grayish-red clouds appearing high above their bodies.
Only Calyrex is an exception; when it Dynamaxes, a blue (instead of dark red) reflection appears on its body.
There are 11 levels in total, from 0 to 10.
After Dynamaxing, a Pokémon's current HP and maximum HP will increase to (1.5 + Dynamax level x 0.05) times (rounded down). When it returns to its original state, its current HP will decrease proportionally (rounded up).
Among them, the maximum HP of Shedinja is limited to 1.
We generally assume that the Pokémon has reached the maximum Dynamax level, meaning that its HP will double after Dynamaxing.
This is truly unmatched by the other three battle systems.
Although Dynamaxing has a time limit, all Dynamaxed Pokémon can only use a maximum of three Dynamax moves before their HP is depleted.
But that's enough; HP doubled.
The move is upgraded to a Max Move, increasing its power and adding various additional effects. Furthermore, it doesn't require item lock.
These advantages allow Dynamax to firmly hold the top spot among the four major battle systems.
Tied for second place are Mega Evolution and Metamorphosis.
Crystallization also doesn't lock items and can change a Pokémon's type. Using STAB or Crystallization-type moves will also have a power boost, adding more strategic depth to battles.
While Mega Evolution is my favorite battle system, to be honest, it's a bit outdated.
After Mega Evolution, all Mega Evolved Pokémon gain 100 base stat points.
However, some of these items are added to items that are not needed, which is too wasteful.
And definitely do not add HP, only add a few of the other five items.
Dynamaxing simply doubles only one of its base stats: HP.
Even if all 100 base stat points after Mega Evolution are allocated to a few useful attributes,
However, as long as the Pokémon's HP is high enough, the boost to its base stats from Dynamax will be significant enough.
While some Pokémon's abilities and types may change, some become very strong, while others become very weak.
Some Pokémon have received god-like abilities such as Parental Love and Huge Power.
Some Pokémon, however, can only obtain useless abilities such as Sand Power and Unyielding Spirit.
There are pros and cons, but Dynamaxing is good for all Pokémon.
Most importantly, Dynamax doesn't lock items, while Mega Evolution does.
I won't even mention that Dynamaxing enhances moves and turns them into Max Moves.
Finally, fourth place goes to Z-Move. Although I personally also really enjoy the awkward dance moves associated with Z-Moves...
However, on the one hand, the Z-Move can only be used once.
Furthermore, it doesn't boost the Pokémon itself; it only adds effects to the moves.
On the other hand, having to lock up props is really outdated.
In addition, Dynamax has several advantages that other battle systems cannot match.
For example, it is not affected by one-hit kill moves.
They won't be passively eliminated; moves like Blow Away or items like Red Card are ineffective against Dynamaxed Pokémon.
Dynamaxed Pokémon cannot have their abilities swapped, nor can they have their abilities changed by moves like Find Partner or abilities like Spirit.
Dynamaxed Pokémon are immune to certain status ailments, and these status ailments are removed after Dynamaxing, including Resurrection, Immobilize, Flinch, and Command.
Destiny Bond and Sealed status effects have no effect on Dynamaxed Pokémon.
Moves whose power is affected by the weight of the two Pokémon are ineffective against Dynamaxed Pokémon, including Knockout, Grass Knot, High Temperature Pressure, and Heavy Impact.
Dynamaxed Pokémon are not restricted by specific moves, including headbands, glasses, scarves, or abilities like Ogre Magi.
However, it won't boost the corresponding abilities of the Dynamax Pokémon, but the Dynamax move still can't be used after the PP is depleted.
The Force ability is ineffective against Dynamax moves.
And so on, it has many good effects.
Another is Gigantamax, which is a special type of Dynamax phenomenon that only specific individuals can undergo.
When a Pokémon Gigantamaxes, it not only grows larger, but its appearance also becomes more distinctive.
In addition to increasing their HP like regular Dynamax Pokémon, their attacks of certain types will also transform into Gigantamax moves, possessing additional effects different from regular Dynamax moves.
If a Pokémon with the potential to Gigantamax is given Max Soup, it will become a special Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing.
If you give this to a Pokémon that is already capable of Gigantamaxing, it will become unable to Gigantamax and can only Dynamax.
Unfortunately, offspring of Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing cannot inherit the Gigantamaxing ability.
Research shows that there are currently only 33 Pokémon that can Gigantamax.
There is also Dynamax, a Dynamax phenomenon that only Eternatus can undergo.
Gigantamax is both a Dynamaxing phenomenon and a form change for Eternatus. Therefore, in addition to its increased size, its base stats also increase dramatically.
The total racial stats can reach thousands.
Back to the present.
After listening to Ash's description of the Dynamax battle system, Master nodded repeatedly and remarked with admiration.
"Dynamax! That's the mystery of the Pokémon in the Galar region!"
When a Pokémon Dynamaxes, not only does its appearance change, but its moves also change.
Among Dynamax forms, Gigantamax is even more special.
Speaking of Gigantamax, one cannot help but mention that secret technique passed down in Master Ma's martial arts school.
Gigantamax soup can be made by giving certain Pokémon the drink, allowing them to reach Gigantamax.
That said, it's been a long time since I've had Max Soup with tons of Max Mushrooms.
So, your second training exercise is mushroom picking!
Please have everyone collect 3 key ingredients for Gigantamax, namely Gigantamax Mushrooms.
Gigantamax mushrooms are red with swirling patterns on them, and they mostly grow in dark, damp places.
That's how it is. Now, let's begin the training. Please help me out!
