Chu Ye woke up after the lion left. He hadn't been sleeping well these past few nights. After all, he was different from the other lion cubs.

During the dry season, both hyenas and wild dogs are potential attackers of lion prides because they desperately need the lion cubs to provide them with food and shelter.

"Neither the lioness nor the lion is home, what should we do?"

Chu Ye was extremely anxious.

Although Chu Ye could climb a tall tree to escape such a disaster, the other lion cubs did not have that ability. When faced with danger, they could only hide in the bushes in the distance.

Actually, wild dogs are animals that don't like to howl. Generally, they work silently.

They only make sounds when they are extremely excited or extremely scared.

Hyenas are a group of animals that grunt and whimper all day long.

The lion cubs hiding in the bushes initially had no idea what was happening. But when they heard the barking of the wild dogs, they immediately understood Chu Ye's meaning.

Just then, Kurt led his army of twenty wild dogs to the bushes.

For Kurt, it felt like the nine lion cubs were still in the bushes, and this time he could catch them all in one fell swoop.

So, Kurt was the first to rush into the thicket.

The other wild dogs also rushed into the thicket, eager to prove themselves. They all felt confident that they would achieve a great victory and catch the nine lion cubs.

But to Kurt's great surprise, when they disappeared into the bushes, they didn't find a single lion cub.

Kurt and the other wild dogs were very surprised. They kept sniffing around, trying to find traces of the lion cubs.

So, Kurt and the other wild dogs surrounded the big tree where Chu Ye was sitting, and they all looked up at Chu Ye.

When Chu Ye saw the stray dogs looking at it, it deliberately barked a few more times. It was trying to attract their attention, to make them focus solely on itself and ignore everything else.

At first, Kurt wondered if all the lion cubs had hidden in the trees. But to Kurt's surprise, after looking for a long time, he only saw one lion cub in the tree.

This made Kurt realize that the other lion cubs weren't in the tree. Only one cub was up there.

Kut was clever. Once it understood the situation, it stopped paying attention to Chu Ye and continued leading its army of wild dogs to search for other lion cubs in the nearby bushes.

Seeing this, Chu Ye became anxious. It stood on the tree and barked loudly at the pack of wild dogs.
