Chapter Forty: The Unsung Hero

Actually, it's quite normal for Lisa and Elsa to lose some lion cubs during the dry season.

The two lionesses seemed to be in a good mood as they looked at the remaining eight cubs. After all, there were still eight cubs, all four or five months old. If they could just get through the two-month dry season, they could live a relatively safe life.

Lion cubs are actually most vulnerable during the dry season. This is because other predators have fewer prey options during the dry season, so they turn their attention to the lion cubs.

During the rainy season, food is plentiful, so other carnivores won't bother the lion cubs. The cubs can then grow up safely.

This time, Chu Ye became an unsung hero. Although he did his best to stop the wild dogs from searching for other lion cubs, the lionesses didn't see it, and the other cubs wouldn't tell their mothers.
